An Aughnacloy farmer has been convicted of causing unnecessary suffering to a number of cattle.
Mark Watters (47), of Tullybleety Road, Aughnacloy, appeared in Dungannon Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
The defendant also faced a charge of doing an act or thing to affect the result of a tuberculosis herd test.
Watters was fined £700 and ordered to pay a £15 offenders levy.
The offences came to light during a tuberculosis herd test and a subsequent follow-up investigation carried out by officers from DAERA’s Welfare and Enforcement Branch.
